"Feed" Prompt #2 =D

OKAY... So in my previous "Feed" blog, it wasn't the best and I realized I didn't really say much and it sounded like an essay almost. Well, maybe more badly organized... =/ Its okay because Yexus still loves me.. =D

According to Titus, the 'feed' practically lives in the people so it almost controls them.
The 'feed' in this sense is kind of like a 'businessman,' well a computer businessman at that. They get to know you and show you all these things that just might interest you, but in this case the 'feed' constantly bugs you about it and keeps showing you more and more ads about a certain item or something. If I had a 'feed' [which I'm against] II would probably be very annoyed with all these ads just popping up all the time. I get over things very quickly so having the 'feed' show me things of my past, of what I used to be interested in but is now over it. The 'feed' is unnecessary. It makes people lazy, such as the chatting, I mean they can't talk as much or as well as they chat, its sad. Honestly, it really is. The fact that great literature no longer exist, the people who changed the world wouldn't matter and the fact that most of the people feel indifferent about the situation and only thinks of the brighter things rather than the more important bad things that are happening in the world. These corporations that even produces 'air' is killing the world.

OKAY... So when Titus got a new upcar because he was in the hospital, only one word came to my mind. R I DI C L O U S... I mean, he was in the hospital, its not like he saved the planet. Goodness.. I mean he wasn't even seriously hurt, it was just his 'feed' and you know what? I think his parents are as stupid as he is. =/ Who gives a kid a car for a being stupid and going out drinking and again being even more S T U P I D all together. This book really scares me about the future. It makes me think, is our world going to become something like this? Where only consumerism matters? Where you don't matter if you don't consume? I mean honestly you can't say that doesn't make you feel sick. =/

In the chapter "Missing the Feed," Titus pretty much talks about how without the 'feed' everyone is like 'sick' because they can't function without it and pretty much never lived without it and so this goes to the fact that they can't think for themselves. SO they do 'stupid' things because apparently they don't exactly know how to talk as well as they chat. Marty, the one who's good at everything he does, comes up with these 'games' using the hospital's equipments as props. This of course pisses the doctors off but they could care less in any situation and not only that but Link's crazy mom comes and tells the doctor to chill because the kids haven't had their 'feed's so apparently they are far too sick from boredom. Which I find almost riduculous, well because who defends boredom? What I really mean is that, boredom is a selfish thing not a sickness.[Just a side note: what's with the vocabulary? I mean who says 'unit' and 'null'? Okay it may just be me but you know what? I don't care I just can't see my kids using those words one day... =/ I guess I know how my mom feels... Ugh..] OKAY... As I was saying.. Boredom is not worth defending...

Stupid, selfish, spoiled kids.. =/

I just love photography.. =)

FEED!!!

Okay… So we are recently reading “Feed” in English and this is my prompts! =D I thought them throughly but please comment away if you must. =)

To start off in “Feed” the girls Calista, Quendy,  and  Loga change their hair frequently it seems. This shows how the ‘feed’ set trends and style that it makes people want to be at the top that the more the ‘feed’ does so the more they make money off of them. Its an easy way to make money off of the people who has the ‘feed’ implanted in them. Next, with the book referred at “To all those who resist the feed.” First of a all a ‘feed’ is how I see it, is, a computer micro-chip that is implanted into people’s brains, giving them no control really over how to think or what to think really… Because they are provided with all the thoughts the ‘feed’ gives them already. To resist the ‘feed’ is to refuse to cooperate with it, in the book Violet and Titus meets at the mall and Violet shows Titus a way of resisting to ‘feed’ which was to go to each store and ask for odd things but never purchase it. It causes the ‘feed’ to try and look at these as your interests so they could find more things for you to consume. But by doing this Violet is causing the ‘feed’ to not have a clear definition causing the ‘feed’ to be confused, and by doing that Violet is resisting the ‘feed’ because each time the ‘feed’ suggests something Violet doesn’t give in and buy the item instead she finds other odd things to look for, not letting the ‘feed’ control her but her control the ‘feed.’

Long Story & "Feed"

Okay... So I'm at school right now and realized I haven't written in my blog for like ever. Well its just that every time I plan on doing so, I forget because I find other things to do. =)

So went to Youth Council this past weekend which was pretty fun. =) Youth Council is a kind of like a camp for the weekend with all the other corps of the Salvation Army and we just come together to hang and get know God or more like get to know ourselves. =) I met a lot of new people that I fell in love with immediately after getting to know them for like a day and its not romantically or anything, just in case you're wondering.. =/ I met some awesome girls and they're great and super sweet. =) Met one dude, who was sharing a cabin with my brothers.. I didn't really get to know him but he was some sports fanatic like my brother so no huge surprise there. =/ We got like absolutely no sleep, we got there on Friday evening registered, found out where our cabins were and got sweaters, although someone jacked mine like on the day we were leaving... =/ We had the evening service where we got introduced to the speaker of the weekend, the band of the weekend and the entertainers of the weekend. Then we were finished at about 12. It was the same for Saturday except, now we had the whole day to find things to do. We had morning service then we had lunch.. Then we find out we have four and a half hours to kill. The boys are lame so I decided to hang out with the girls and we ended up playing with the boys. First we tried football but the other girls weren't any good at it and the boys pointed and laughed their heads off. Which, was not at all nice. And then so on we played separately, Kelsey (one of the girls I met) and I threw the football around just playing for the heck of it. After that, the boys went to play some basketball and so we cheered them on because they were playing against some other church. Although, I think we got annoying but I still continued.. =) After the game though we decided on basketball, well just shooting some hoops. =D I got it in the first couple of times which was rare and I can't help but squeal at my accomplishment. =) I also got it in while standing in the middle of the court which was unbelievable! =D I was indeed happy. But I couldn't get it in again after more tries... =/ So I quit and Kelsey was getting tired.

SO, this was a brief summary of what happened. And trust me that was brief.. =/

ANYWAYS, I read a little bit of the book "Feed" and honestly its confusing... So I'll wait until English class to really put my input in it.. =/
