The Cat in the HAT BLOG. XD

The fish in this story has a superego outlook, in my opinion. I mean, its debatable, but in my opinion I honestly think he's really looking out for everyone, including himself. Some may say he's being selfish or so on, but really you need to kinda put yourself in his shoes. I know its kind of hard to imagine yourself as a talking fish, but let's pretend he's a person if you really can't imagine it.

OKAY, so no one can not, NOT think about themselves, I mean its natural, everyone wants to be safe and in this situation the fish wanted him and the kids to be safe and he felt the cat was in the way of their safety. Many may say that he's just one big party pooper, but I guess this is where someone's superego becomes a disadvantage, is when its misunderstood. The fish asks the cat to leave and ask the kids to stop him because no one should be in their house when their mother is not home. This shows an indirect characterization through his dialogue, he feels strongly that the cat is a threat to not only their family but to their home and property.

The fish pretty much shows dislike to the whole idea at the beginning when he tells the cat to leave after the cat tries to juggle him but ends up dropping him and all the other things along with it.

So overall I think the fish is more superego rather than i.d, because he really looks out not only for himself but the kids also. Fearing the trouble and consequences in their perspectives also.

Feed Project.. POSTER

My 'feed' contains lots and lots of advertisement of all sorts, from clothing to jewelery. Containing also, is brand names. As much as we would like to deny it, the truth is brand is so important to us whenever and whatever we shop for. These advertisement shows America, or represents American as a dollar sign as most people would say it. America seems to only care about consumerism and less about the people. For example in "Feed" Violet was rejected of a repair because she didn't consume enough, therefore they saw no reason to let her live. This is so cruel and harsh, it really is. I mean a innocent person is dying from this stupid computer chip that was implanted into her brain and all you can think about is how it will affect the stock market? Gosh, really... This was so sad because it really showed me that people's lives are less important. The social implications are obvious, I mean its all sex appeal. For example, the Victoria Secret ad, the model is like half naked, its implying that if I get that bra or underwear I'll be seen the same way, which is so not true. I mean sure, it has its ups but really, who's really going to see it anyway? I mean unless you go around showing people, then I guess that's a different story. Most of the time these implications are bad, I mean its just pressure people to feel a need to get something because they want to feel 'sexy' or 'cool' it really puts one in a bad situation. Resistance isn't something easily done, I mean even I have an issue with it. I have my views on what's cool, what's in and what's out. I think everyone does, its natural to do so. You're constantly surrounded by these things everyday, eventually you can't help but get pulled into it. Plus its part of our society to do so. The media doesn't quite show us resistance because well, the media IS a big part of consumerism, if they go against it, what do they have left? The impact is pretty big, I'd say. Like I've mentioned before even I have my 'cool's and my ins and outs. Its normal really, my 'cool' may not be your cool but it really defines a person's personality. Kind of like the stereotypes, like if you wear all black, you're either emo or gothic. Its real simple, but I think this effects us all. The moral Anderson wants us all to see and understand is that if we don't control ourselves now, things will only get worse. People will become more stupid, lives will be worthless, and corruption amongst all those lines. Its horrifying and for the most part, sad.
I think Titus ordered those pants just because he was bored and his 'feed' was shooting ads at him about the pants and I guess what better thing to do than buy it? At the end when the interlude said "Everything must go!" I think it indicated that in the end even if an innocent girl dies, the world of consumerism continues and nobody really cares unless we are willing to take a stand and do something about it.

I found this quite amusing...

Persepolis Blog Response.

In Persepolis there were many situations, wither bad or good in Iran. But the citizens found ways to have fun and laugh about it. Even if it involved breaking the law, like people threw parties, drank wine, played cards and all these things were prohibited. But I think that was what made it fun was the fact that, although it was stupid that these things were prohibited, it was fun because of the thrill of going against the Shahs. It made me laugh because of the way they were sneaking around to each other's houses to party and when they were in a bad situation, they would just run. Like Marji's aunt who freaked out and just gave Marji her baby.

Marji's family is quite, well.. Accepting I would say, compared to a lot of traditional people, her family is actually really westernized. Because what's really important to them is actually freedom, nothing else matters than freedom and the right to fight for their country's freedom. They're mostly against the Shah's laws but in order to survive they must do so according to the law. In the book Marji's family all agrees on this, that their country's freedom including them are most important that even dying for it is worth it.

Religion overall is very important in this story and even now in our world, people die to get their freedom of religion. It's so cruel and sad. In Persepolis, religion plays a huge role in this story because the Shahs are basing their laws on religion, and by doing this they're controlling people. In the book Marji's uncle states that since most people are uneducated its hard for them to base things off of politics so they base it on religion, which makes it easy for those political leaders to persuade those uneducated with promises of religion. So religion is real important. =)

Marji protesting in her house, sine she can't go to the real ones.

This shows Marji's passion that she has for freedom.

Feed Visual Essay BLOG

OKAY so finally, I'm getting to it. =) My Visual Essay.. I really wanted to post this but I wanted to really finish it to my full content first. =)

OKAY, so I understand that I may not have the best pictures but I tried, it took me all night looking for something nice enough. =/

I picked this picture because it really showed a really cool but true message. This is so totally true! I mean, its like when those weird salesman approaches you with this cool new gadget or whatever, they are actually saying, 'HEY buy this because you don't really have a choice,' AND we believe this because well.. We're stupid and slow people/consumers. We're addicted to buying. ALSO we're all people who wants to fit in, so when there's something new that's 'in' and then everyone buys it.. For example, the iPod Touch&&Blackberry.. Those are so freaking popular nowadays. Everyone apparently have them. BUT 'Free Choice' is definitely an illusion.. =/

So I actually found two great pictures, when I saw these, it reminded me of when Violet and Titus' dad had that conversation about the forest and creating more factories but especially for oxygen, which is ironic because trees are what produces oxygen. =/ People are really stupid like seriously... BUT our world is really dying, because of all the craziness of everything combined, the factories and its bad air from the production, products that can't be recycled, and so much more that I can't think of right now.. =) But this shows you that people like Titus' dad are stupid enough to want to destroy natural resources because artificial resources gives them more profit.

I picked this picture because well.. I thought this was pretty funny. Haha, because honestly I find myself doing this.. I'll be shopping around at Forever 21, Wet Seal or Charlotte Russe [MAJOR consumerism..] AND I would look at the graphic tees that has music notes or a stereo on them and be like 'OH if I buy this maybe people will at least know something about me before I say anything' its kind of funny actually because the people who are selling are so good at selling these things that even us people don't realize how stupid we are... Haha.. =)

THE END. =D

"Feed" Prompt #2 =D

OKAY... So in my previous "Feed" blog, it wasn't the best and I realized I didn't really say much and it sounded like an essay almost. Well, maybe more badly organized... =/ Its okay because Yexus still loves me.. =D

According to Titus, the 'feed' practically lives in the people so it almost controls them.
The 'feed' in this sense is kind of like a 'businessman,' well a computer businessman at that. They get to know you and show you all these things that just might interest you, but in this case the 'feed' constantly bugs you about it and keeps showing you more and more ads about a certain item or something. If I had a 'feed' [which I'm against] II would probably be very annoyed with all these ads just popping up all the time. I get over things very quickly so having the 'feed' show me things of my past, of what I used to be interested in but is now over it. The 'feed' is unnecessary. It makes people lazy, such as the chatting, I mean they can't talk as much or as well as they chat, its sad. Honestly, it really is. The fact that great literature no longer exist, the people who changed the world wouldn't matter and the fact that most of the people feel indifferent about the situation and only thinks of the brighter things rather than the more important bad things that are happening in the world. These corporations that even produces 'air' is killing the world.

OKAY... So when Titus got a new upcar because he was in the hospital, only one word came to my mind. R I DI C L O U S... I mean, he was in the hospital, its not like he saved the planet. Goodness.. I mean he wasn't even seriously hurt, it was just his 'feed' and you know what? I think his parents are as stupid as he is. =/ Who gives a kid a car for a being stupid and going out drinking and again being even more S T U P I D all together. This book really scares me about the future. It makes me think, is our world going to become something like this? Where only consumerism matters? Where you don't matter if you don't consume? I mean honestly you can't say that doesn't make you feel sick. =/

In the chapter "Missing the Feed," Titus pretty much talks about how without the 'feed' everyone is like 'sick' because they can't function without it and pretty much never lived without it and so this goes to the fact that they can't think for themselves. SO they do 'stupid' things because apparently they don't exactly know how to talk as well as they chat. Marty, the one who's good at everything he does, comes up with these 'games' using the hospital's equipments as props. This of course pisses the doctors off but they could care less in any situation and not only that but Link's crazy mom comes and tells the doctor to chill because the kids haven't had their 'feed's so apparently they are far too sick from boredom. Which I find almost riduculous, well because who defends boredom? What I really mean is that, boredom is a selfish thing not a sickness.[Just a side note: what's with the vocabulary? I mean who says 'unit' and 'null'? Okay it may just be me but you know what? I don't care I just can't see my kids using those words one day... =/ I guess I know how my mom feels... Ugh..] OKAY... As I was saying.. Boredom is not worth defending...

Stupid, selfish, spoiled kids.. =/

I just love photography.. =)

FEED!!!

Okay… So we are recently reading “Feed” in English and this is my prompts! =D I thought them throughly but please comment away if you must. =)

To start off in “Feed” the girls Calista, Quendy,  and  Loga change their hair frequently it seems. This shows how the ‘feed’ set trends and style that it makes people want to be at the top that the more the ‘feed’ does so the more they make money off of them. Its an easy way to make money off of the people who has the ‘feed’ implanted in them. Next, with the book referred at “To all those who resist the feed.” First of a all a ‘feed’ is how I see it, is, a computer micro-chip that is implanted into people’s brains, giving them no control really over how to think or what to think really… Because they are provided with all the thoughts the ‘feed’ gives them already. To resist the ‘feed’ is to refuse to cooperate with it, in the book Violet and Titus meets at the mall and Violet shows Titus a way of resisting to ‘feed’ which was to go to each store and ask for odd things but never purchase it. It causes the ‘feed’ to try and look at these as your interests so they could find more things for you to consume. But by doing this Violet is causing the ‘feed’ to not have a clear definition causing the ‘feed’ to be confused, and by doing that Violet is resisting the ‘feed’ because each time the ‘feed’ suggests something Violet doesn’t give in and buy the item instead she finds other odd things to look for, not letting the ‘feed’ control her but her control the ‘feed.’

Long Story & "Feed"

Okay... So I'm at school right now and realized I haven't written in my blog for like ever. Well its just that every time I plan on doing so, I forget because I find other things to do. =)

So went to Youth Council this past weekend which was pretty fun. =) Youth Council is a kind of like a camp for the weekend with all the other corps of the Salvation Army and we just come together to hang and get know God or more like get to know ourselves. =) I met a lot of new people that I fell in love with immediately after getting to know them for like a day and its not romantically or anything, just in case you're wondering.. =/ I met some awesome girls and they're great and super sweet. =) Met one dude, who was sharing a cabin with my brothers.. I didn't really get to know him but he was some sports fanatic like my brother so no huge surprise there. =/ We got like absolutely no sleep, we got there on Friday evening registered, found out where our cabins were and got sweaters, although someone jacked mine like on the day we were leaving... =/ We had the evening service where we got introduced to the speaker of the weekend, the band of the weekend and the entertainers of the weekend. Then we were finished at about 12. It was the same for Saturday except, now we had the whole day to find things to do. We had morning service then we had lunch.. Then we find out we have four and a half hours to kill. The boys are lame so I decided to hang out with the girls and we ended up playing with the boys. First we tried football but the other girls weren't any good at it and the boys pointed and laughed their heads off. Which, was not at all nice. And then so on we played separately, Kelsey (one of the girls I met) and I threw the football around just playing for the heck of it. After that, the boys went to play some basketball and so we cheered them on because they were playing against some other church. Although, I think we got annoying but I still continued.. =) After the game though we decided on basketball, well just shooting some hoops. =D I got it in the first couple of times which was rare and I can't help but squeal at my accomplishment. =) I also got it in while standing in the middle of the court which was unbelievable! =D I was indeed happy. But I couldn't get it in again after more tries... =/ So I quit and Kelsey was getting tired.

SO, this was a brief summary of what happened. And trust me that was brief.. =/

ANYWAYS, I read a little bit of the book "Feed" and honestly its confusing... So I'll wait until English class to really put my input in it.. =/

At School YO.

OKAY..  So I'm in Ms. Kotek's room right now and its lunch. I'm not as hungry anyways. BUT then its like as though as if 2nd lunch is like cursed.. I mean all the fights starts there. Ugh, I hate violence of any sort, it just disgusts me. I really think it has no point, when it comes to it physically. I mean it doesn't solve anything, its just straight out pointless. Goodness, these people need to come their senses! It's S T U P I D!! Ugh. It pisses me off when people get cocky about these stupid things. I mean who said talking it out wasn't a option? I just think those people just have too much pride to deal with it or more like anger management, too angry to even try and talk, therefore they do things without thinking. AND you know what, I understand that its like a problem, an issue they're dealing with but if they don't even try to help it then I really can't understand why. I mean why would you want to be angry all the time? There's so much more happier things to life then holding grudges and hoping on getting revenge because well... News flash, life isn't fair and we can only live it to the fullest. Spending your life on those pointless ideas only hurts you and you really gain nothing. Because in the end, getting revenge is only giving other people the pain that you supposedly felt but what happens next? You only hurted people, how did it benefitted you? S E R I O U S L Y, I think our freakin' world is so corrupted and we all need to get it straight... Because all we're doing is making it worst by doing all of these pointless things. Think about the more important things in life that can be a blessing to not only you but to others. I think that we, people are just a little too selfish sometimes that we don't think about other people who needs the most help. We as people have so much potential within ourselves to make a difference but I think too many of us underestimate ourselves too much, that we actually end up not using the full potential that we have. But seriously, think about it. =)

Okay, I know I ranted really badly, but hey. I am serious and thats why I'm even writing about it, so here's a little piece of me that you know now. =) Agree or disagree, this is purely my opinion.

Found this on Google since Photobucket wont work on our school network. =/
It's pretty cool nonetheless. =)

I want PEPSI!!! =/

Okay.. So I just like woke up from a three or four hour nap. I know, man... I take such long naps and I decided sleeping is a SUPER bad habit, worst than being random. Anyways, ugh.. I was so tired today. Its been two days in a row that I've been falling asleep in History and I think Madson's getting a little annoyed also due to the fact that like a whole half of the class is doing the exact same thing.. Haha, I mean I don't want to be part of that half and I tried REALLY hard to keep my eyes open but man, I couldn't fight the sleepiness. Darn it, I'm saying man too much.. But have you ever wonder how anyone came up with that? I mean like did a woman get mad because her signicficant other call her "You WOMAN!" and she's like "Oh yeah! Well you know what? You MAN!" I mean it sounds pretty lame and horrible but really, how did it come to a point where when we get frustrated or upset that we go, "man..." I mean its kind of odd, don't you think? But maybe the 'man' just did so many devastating things that, it got to a point where people just went "Man..." okay 'nuff with dat! By the way, I strongly dislike it when a dude call me a 'woman' because I have a name. I mean I'd prefer 'dude' but there's just something about the way they say 'woman' If you're a woman, doesn't it just piss you off, when a dude calls you that? I hang with a whole bunch of dudes, well because... I grew up with a huge family of boys and I always end up hanging with them because my sister already has a jerk boyfriend to occupy her and I realized hanging with a bunch of loser dudes weren't so bad, plus they're at least funny.. =)

OKAY, so enough with my rant. I'm funna roll out! =D

PEACE! =D

This is a video I came across.. It's actually funny, I mean its like kind of that like "oh my gosh, that's so true and we never really talked about it, because it's so awkward!" Okay, so here it is. =D

"We Touched Awkwardly"

Oh yeah, she's Australian. I think the accent is apparent. =)

IB 10 English! =D

Yo.

I've had this blog for like a year? And I haven't touched it since, but because this is now an assignment, I decided why not? Anyways, today was weird and tiring, it sucked. I really don't like Honors Chemistry.. Its lame especially since we got that student-teacher who doesn't know how to teach. I never get anything in that class even if I try, although science has always been my worst subject... Ugh.. The disadvantages of being average. OH WELL, isn't everyone average? Maybe I'm just not trying hard enough... =/

English is pretty tight, I actually love speaking my mind on blogs, except I do that on Myspace. =D But now, I'm doing that on here for my project. I think this is a pretty brilliant idea, Ms. Erin Murphy. =)

This is THE END!! =D Yay, first blog posted! =) I just wanted to post something to make it an official blog. =D And I'm sorry but I can't help my randomness. =)

PEACE OUT! My homie G-DOGGs! =D

I just love how the simplest things can be the greatest piece of art! =)
